Welcome to the MVCC Swim team!!! It is our ultimate goal to have FUN, while improving our strength and competitive swimming skills.

The barracuda is a ray-finned fish known for its large size, fearsome appearance and ferocious behaviour. At MVCC, a barracuda is known as a fun-loving kid that enjoys swimming, making new friends and being part of some friendly competition. It is a known fact that Not All Athletes Wear Shoes!

Anyone who is 18 years old (by June 1st) or a high school spring graduate, may compete in the league. Younger swimmers must be able to swim the length of the pool to join the team.

All swimmers must have a paid membership to MVCC.

2025 MVCC Swim Team Preliminary Information

- First day of practice will be Tuesday, May 27th. Times TBD. Practices are on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Wednesdays do not have practices as swim meets are on Wednesdays.
- Swim meets will be Wednesday, June 4, 11, 18, 25, July 2nd. Prelims and finals are the week of July 7th.
- Barracuda's Swim-a-thon will be during regular practice time on Friday June 27th.
- Swim awards party will be Saturday, July 12th, at the pool from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm - save the date!

- MVCC Barracudas Swim-A-Thon Fundraiser - Help support our swimmers by donating a designated dollar amount for every lap swam by your favorite swimmer. Flat rate donations are acceptable.

MVCC Barracudas hosting Boystown and Sunnyslope - Wednesday, Jun 25, 2025 at 6:00 PM

The swim team excited to host our first swim meet of the season. MVCC Barracudas will host Westgate and Sunny Slope pools at 6PM. Swim team members should arrive at 4:45 for warmups. The pool will be closing at 3PM for preparation of the meet. We apologize for any inconvenience.
